Ballroom Brawl and Riot in Melbourne DVD offer

In the past month, MCW has seen two of its biggest nights ever with Riot in Melbourne at the Dragonfly and Ballroom Brawl at Thornbury Theatre.

Riot in Melbourne saw tensions between Melbourne City Wrestling and Riot City reach boiling point as Danny Psycho turned against MCW to team with then RCW champion, Chris ‘Mimic’ Basso, as they faced Team Silva. The night also saw the debut of Miami in Melbourne City Wrestling, as she faced another newcomer, Siren Monroe, and the internationally renowned Kellie Skater, as well as the MCW return of NSW’s Fitness Maniacs, as they squared off with KrackoLantern. Matt Silva lays a challenge down at the Dragonfly this Friday

With Ballroom Brawl in the bank, we look back at two of the top stories from an incredible action packed night; Matt Silva defended his MCW title in an epic battle with Chris ‘Mimic’ Basso which lasted nearly 30 minutes and Danny Psycho went coast to coast being the second entry into the Ballroom Brawl Rumble, finishing as the last man standing and more importantly, the new number one contender for the Melbourne City Wrestling Championship, which will be defended in the main event at 1000 Pound Bend in Melbourne’s CBD on Saturday August 18.

Mimic loses RCW championship belt

Now former RCW champion, Mimic, at Ballroom Brawl in Melbourne last week.

Just one week after his unsuccessful attempt to claim the MCW title at Ballroom Brawl, Chris ‘Mimic’ Basso lost his own RCW title to Marvel at ‘Dark Days’ in Adelaide last night.

With a little help for his friends, Marvel managed to push Mimic into submission and claim the title. More to news to follow.

Hard Way Inc to face The Vanity Project at Dragonfly

Following MCW Ballroom Brawl on July 14, our production team found The Vanity Project, Seth Taylor and Josh ‘The Axe’ Shooter, bemoaning their loss in the triple threat match earlier in the evening. The conclusion of the match saw The Vanity Project firmly in control of the match, but after throwing Hard Way Inc to the outside, they would taste defeat at the hands of KrackoLantern.

Ballroom Brawl delivers a memorable night

Dowie James and Cletus got the night started in style.

Melbourne City Wrestling returned to the Thornbury Theatre, presenting it’s third Ballroom Brawl mid-year supercard in front of almost 400 fans. In one of the most talked about MCW events ever, the stars of MCW and RCW didn’t disappoint with a amazing displays of skill and strength shown throughout the evening. The evening saw the inaugural Ballroom Brawl 20 Man Rumble and MCW champion Matt Silva put his title on the line against Chris ‘Mimic’ Basso.
